Visual Studio Express Website

Microsoft Germany wanted to have a website adapted to the needs of the German market to present the Visual Studio Express products. These are stripped-down versions of Visual Studio, Microsoft's professional software development environment. Based on the original English website, the content had to be translated, edited and extended to address the German target audience that consisted of beginner developers or those that were changing platforms. The design should be refreshed but was specifically required to remain within the products' original branding.

In addition to extensive information about the products, the original website (screenshots below) which we completed in 2007 also contained a list of programming books that was implemented as a Silverlight application. There were also a series of very popular video tutorials in the Beginner Developer Learning Center which introduced those who want to learn programming to this complex subject in a friendly manner.

The site was relaunched in April 2010 to reflect the release of Visual Studio 2010 Express.
